“Love Letters” Performance

Cara & Pete

Love Letters

Looking for the perfect entertainment for your fundraising event or just a great gathering of friends? Cara and Pete can perform Love Letters for you – a heartwarming, ever-entertaining Broadway two-person play audiences absolutely love.

Peter and Cara Granat have performed Love Letters for fundraisers in Monterey and in the Sacramento area, and are available for a variety of organizations and occasions.

Married six years and together for twelve, Pete and Cara met via Pete’s adorable doggy, Krissy in Pacific Grove. At the time, Pete owned his own jewelry store in Monterey (he’s now a Manager for Jared) and Cara was a Marketing Manager at the Carmel Plaza.

About Love Letters

Love Letters is a Pulitzer Prize nominated play by A. R. Gurney.

The play centers on two characters who sit side by side and read the notes, letters and cards – in which over nearly 50 years, they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats – that have passed between them throughout their separated lives.

A Little Story…

Walking Krissy back and forth in front of Cara’s little studio on 16th Street, Pete finally braved it and asked Cara if she’d like to walk with them along the ocean just steps from where they both lived down the street from each other. Cara had just (happily!) ended a relationship over the phone and instantly Peter knocked at her door (that old adage of “One door closes and another opens” really worked!). He and Krissy entered, Cara told them to hold on while she put on her tennis shoes and Krissy couldn’t wait another minute. The anxious little Brittany Spaniel pooped on the floor! Pete was mortified and Cara was in stitches doubled over in laughter. Later, Pete would say that they literally got the crap over early in their relationship. And Cara says she didn’t just fall in love, she stepped in it…
